CCT Challenge - Sketch

Hello there I'm back again, don't know for how long lol but here I am anyhoo. I just finished the drawings for our new digi collectiona at Charmed Cards and Crafts so I get to have a play before they reach the cyber shelves :D

I decided to have a go with something new, it's a kind of pop up card thingy ( I think it's  meant to be a place setting) its one of the designs I downloaded for my Silhouette digital cutter and I think it's rather fab don't you?
I made this one following the sketch on the Cute Card Thursday Blog, pop over for a look.
Here we have a rather glam owl coloured with my copics in green and pink. I like to use glossy accennts on the eyes, it really makes them pop. The 3 flowers represent the three circles on the sketch. Hope you like it and thank you for all the inspiration over at CCT.

Colour Create Challenge

Hello my friends, how are you? I'm very excited because I'm going for a day in London tomorrow, it feels like I haven't been out of town for ages.
Today I have a card to show you. It's different to my usual 'thing' I just fancied a change and as I haven't used my Silhouette cutter in ages I decided to have a go with this cute apple tree. It is for the Colour Create Challenge here's the brief....
Our fabulous Liz has selected the colours for us this time and the combination is fantastic for both male and female cards. The colours are:

BLUE, GREEN, WHITE, RED and BROWN.

The optional extra, if you'd like to join in with that, is:
TEXTURE

Here it is
It's to give to someone who is finding life quite tough right now and really needs to be positive. I hop he likes it.
All the text was printed out onto BG paper and the leaves are Primas.
Thank you for looking xx

Little Flower

Hello friends,
I haven't been crafting or blogging for a whole week....but the reason is a good one....I'm having a craft room makeover! Woo Hoo I'll show you some pictures soon. I made a roman blind the other day and I'm very impressed with myself :)
Right onto the card. I made this one a little while ago but I've only just got around to showing you. If you scroll down you will see the winter version of this image on my previous card. I love this image because it's perfect for paper piecing and that is my absolute fave technique, it brings the picture and the background all together so nicely, creating a rally balanced look. Here is the card front......
Do you see how the paper piecing has allowed me to match the flowers to the hat? Those flowers are the cheapest flowers ever! Just tear scraps of paper into circles, scrunch them up and add buttons! Voila!
The image AND the sentiment underneath are from the 'Let it Shine' digital collection at Charmed Cards and Crafts, yours at the click of a button!
The papers are Basicgrey but The name of the collection escapes me right now so I'll update later.

You may have noticed that most of my cards are Easel cards, that's cos they're my favourite! Their is a fab tutorial at the Charmed store here and I'm going to put on on here when I get around to it.
Now the flat packed furniture is calling me so I am off. Have a lovely day in the sunshine xxxx

Crafty Creations Challenge - Christmas in July

Hello again is there anybody there? I hope people are getting to see my new Blog :( Not to worry, I'm going to carry on anyway :D
Another challenge today and this time its a challenge from Crafty Creations and the subject is Christmas! Well it may as well be Christmas for the sun we've had!
Here's what the brief was...."Wow, this month has flown by! Can't believe next week is already August! Which means that Christmas isn't that far away. So the challenge this week is to help you start those piles of Christmas cards.
Christmas in July
Anything Christmas, cards, presents, ornaments, gift card holders. . ."

I've just finished a collection of drawings for Charmed Cards and Crafts digi downlads and among that set I have added some bonus winter images. I've been dying to have a go with this one and with the help of a fab pot of Polar White flower soft kindly given to me by Karen of Charmed Cards and Crafts (wuv woo) I managed to come up with this......
I used a Fancy Pants Happy Holidays 8 x 8 paper pad for this project, I just love these papers, theyre so rich.Fancy Pants Happy Holidays 8x8 Paper Pad
The Image I've used is from the 'Let it Shine' digital collection also from Charmed
The great thing about being a card maker is that when you design images you have an end product in mind, I knew from the beginning that this little lovely would have snow added to her nose.
The snow here is Flower Soft Polar White

Please pop over to Crafty Creations Challenges and join in the fun. xxx

Crafts and Me Challenge

So here we are and it's the first challenge of my new Blog AND it's the first challenge using one of the new images from my brand new Digi Collection 'Let it Shine' Which is being prepared for sale at Charmed Cards and Crafts as we speak
It's nice to be getting back into challenges and I really enjoyed this one. Here is the brief.....this week it really couldnt be anything else but Ribbons for me...I rarely make a card without them...Im so happy to tell you that our sponsor for this challenge is CRAFTS and ME and the prize will be 6 Digi's of the winners choice, wow now theres a fabulous prize for you
So here we go, I kind of got carried away and ran out of space for the ribbon! But it is there if you look hard enough.....
I saw this style of card somewhere recently (can't remember where) it looked so simple and effective and it reminded me of easel cards which are one of my faves. Do you know what they are called? Please give me a shout if you do.

The Papers are BG lemonade and the image is from the new digi set at Charmed Cards and Crafts 'Let it Shine'
The DT examples at Crafting and Me are fab, go and take a look and join in with their challenge.

Hellooooo!
Welcome to my new Bloggerooni! You know, I must be crazy, I've been Blogging for years and years and I had a big list of followers and favourites, but....without giving you all the depressing stories of my life .....I needed a fresh start in EVERYTHING so here I am with another new beginning and it feels great!
It's kind of like moving into a new house (I did that recently too lol) I've got the blank canvas but some of the fixtures and fitting are missing so please bear with me and join me in the evolution of my Blog.

Some of you will know me from my first Blog; Crafts by Louly, I do almost all of the designs for Charmed Cards and Crafts Digital Images (excluding the sentiments, my bestest friend Karen the owner of Charmed does those). Guess what, we just relaunched that blog in a different location with a different name too! It's been a busy time! Oh yes, did I mention, I just completed a new set of digital downloads which are being uploaded and ready for sale as we speak. It's all exciting stuff int it!
If you would like to pop over to Dottie's Worlds replacement and have a nosey around plese click here (some fixtures and fittings are missing there too)
